Do You REALLY Want to Own Your Own Online Business?

My short answer would be without a doubt YES. And I might then ask; why would you NOT want to own your own online business? To be an internet entrepreneur allows a freedom that no other job will give to you.

I was never good at working for others. I have had my own businesses since I was a kid. It started when I was 9 selling rocks door to door. I knew I was cute and my sheer enthusiasm for the product would have my neighbors dig deep into their pocket to give this ingenious little girl a quarter.

In this case it wasn’t what I sold it’s how I marketed the product.

I was born to be an entrepreneur. My soul feels free working for myself. And I now know having your own business is part of the equation, but if your business owns you then what’s the point?

An internet business allows a freedom that no other business will allow. In fact, I type this blog entry as I sit on a plane in route for a 3 week vacation. How can I take a 3 week vacation? Because I own an online business, which allows me to work from anywhere in the world. As long as I have my notebook, laptop computer, and cell phone I can work from anywhere in the world!

I think in so many ways the internet is like the railroad it’s not going anywhere and is only going to grow and expand. In 10 years from now I have a sneaky suspicion that dot com domain names and online businesses for sale built now with a long history will be worth quite a bit of money. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to look back and go I should have or I could have I want to say I DID.
